ST HILDA’S, COWCLIFFE, HUDDERSFIELD – SERVING THE COMMUNITY

St Hilda’s Church, throughout its life, has added value to the lives of the people of Cowcliffe and beyond.

LUNCHEON CLUB

Our Luncheon club started 40 years ago and is a time of good food and good company – all for £3.50.

A team of volunteers cook and serve the lunch.

Volunteer drivers are available if people cannot get the free Access bus. A man, who has enjoyed the lunch and company for many years said: ‘it is a pity it is only once a week.’ Yes, it is on Wednesdays – lunch will be served at 12.30pm. If you are above 65 or over, we will be pleased to welcome you to this very special ‘club’. Please call one of us:

Rita Jones 01484 431391 or Bryan & Jean Leeming 01484 533892

If you would like to join our delightful team of volunteers, please do have a word with one of us.

We would like to say a big thank you to One Community for their support to our luncheon club. They granted £1000 for a new cooker and then a further £500 towards kitchen equipment. As if that was not enough, a further £1000 was granted towards replacement of the extraction fan & windows in the kitchen + redecoration.
Without the generous support of One Community, our kitchen, whose main use is for the Luncheon Club, would not be so up to date, clean and sparkling
THANK YOU ONE COMMUNITY!”

COWCLIFFE COMMUNITY SINGERS

We simply enjoy singing. We meet regularly and learn new songs or sing old ones. We’ve ‘performed’ on special occasions in church and occasionally beyond. We would welcome new members – please speak to Dorothy Quinlan 01484 427981
